2013 Scion FRS

I've always loved all types of cars & trucks and I have been following this car for years in anticipation of it being released and the time is finally here. I had the chance to drive one in Baltimore, MD this past weekend and wow! What an awesome car!

Here's some video of it and my first drive on an Autocross course set up by Scion & Yokohama.

Beautiful car. Love what Toyota/Subaru came up with. I wouldn't mind owning one as a daily driver.

Wow, not sure why it posted doubles but anyway. I'm probably going to get the first one we have coming into my dealership. It's a Hot Lava 6spd manual.

BTW, leaving now to go to FedEx and post office.

Yeah, I'd love to have one. I've always been kinda ehhhhh about buying a new car. but I wouldn't mind having this particular car.

I'd take one in the Asphalt gray w/ a 6 speed. and the first mod would be to change ALL of the emblems to Toyota, not scion

Sweet, Sounds good.

Well, my car came in! I took it home Thursday night! Owners manual recommends keeping it under 4k RPMs for the first 1,000 miles so I've been adhering to that. At 1001 miles, I'm looking forward to get that bad boy singing up to 7400 rpms!

Video of the carrier arriving at my dealership. I saw it going up the road from my desk and I ran outside to the end of the lot where they drop cars off like a young girl running after Justin Bieber...lol

Nice car and as a Toyota tech. I'm not happy. It's more Subaru than Toyota. Only thing that's Toyota is the sound system and emblems. Oh and the ac control unit.

The D4S injection system is Toyota's too but that's about it. The car is built in Japan in a Subaru production facility. It's roots however, are ALL Toyota. Starting with the Sports 800, 2000GT and the AE86 Corolla.

The feeling is similar with the techs at my dealership too. Most are hoping that they never have to tear into the engines for warranty work.

roots dont make up for that 98% of the parts is Subaru. looks like all the components around the engine is easy to get to. the only thing left is the motor. its new to most toyota techs as far as tear down. seeing as this car is aimed at kids. blown motors, burnt clutches, grinding transmission come in mind. not to mention the rear end blowing up if they use something weak. i have only see one in person. havent got to drive one or have one in the air yet. time will tell. just wish it was more toyota. than again i was liking toyota for not making anything kids can get their hands on for racing. the owners i deal with now are older people that dont abuse their cars and have money for maints work lol
