Went skiing today

It was fun. We went to Beach Resort in Banner Elk, NC. It was very good conditions for NC, and the views were AMAZING. There was real snow (yeah, something thats not normal) which proved for some very fun doughnuts/drifting/being not completely in control oh well, here are some shapshots. enjoy!

You're making me jealous. I really want to get up and learn how to snowboard. I haven't done it ever because you really don't see an egyptain ever on snow...hehe. I'm trying for either this weekend or next, but any tips for me?

you have never been on snow and you want to start out on a snow board? Personally I think snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to master, and skiing is easy to learn but harder to master. The best advice I can give you will be to get a lesson your first day. It is worth every cent! and be prepared for some good spills. If you do try snowboarding first. if you fall never use your hands to break your fall. Try to use your forarms or rear. um... where ever you look, thats the direction that you will go (thats a big one) um... take it slow... but seriously... get a lession, its really worth it, and have fun!

Nice!!
I went skiing on Christmas eve, at Mt Batchlor in Bend Oregon. It was a blast, not quite as good as the Utah resorts though!!

All you guys out west have it made... people know what they are doing... in NC the majority of ppl are from FL and GA and have NEVER seen snow. Its so agrivating! And your runs are more than 3 min long ride... oh well... its better than nothing

Mt Bachelor is good on Powder days. The "Outback" and "Northwest" runs are schweet.
