Transferring ATV Title
So I finally found the perfect ATV for me at a great price and got it today with a legit title and a home-made bill of sale. She signed the title and got it notarized so it's ready for me to fill out and apply for my own. I have some questions though:
I bought the quad in Ohio and it currently has an Ohio title. I am working in Ohio and go to school in Georgia. I am a Texas resident, however, the quad won't be in Texas for at least 2 years. What state do I need to get the title in?
Once titled to me, what state do I need to register it in to be legal for public lands (national forest parks and whatnot)?
What price do I put on the back of the title? A buddy of mine put $0 for his car and said it was a gift so he didn't pay any taxes. My dad is pretty certain Texas has passed a law making gift taxes more than if I just claimed the value. Anyone know anything about that?
Thanks!

Sounds to me like you need to talk to the DMV. I would register it in the state that you are going to be spending the most time in, not sure if that is Georgia or Ohio. I would not worry about Texas title/registration until you move back there..
