Wow!! While hilarious, as a rider that is scary. Could you imagine taking an OWL to the chest or head at high speeds?

Maybe the R1 was just parked and the owl was doing 150mph?

Let's see, I've taken out small birds, had bees fly into my helmet and sting me and even run over a dog, but I must say an owl would be new to me.

I hit a grouse once at about 40mph but it wasn't a direct hit and it still knocked the wind out of me.

I almost hit a grouse on time with my boot (on accident, I swear!). You really have to watch out for them on logging roads, and trails up in the mountains.

My uncle told me a story one time, he said he had his current girl-friend on the back of his bike and he hit a dog at about 65-70 mph. He kept the bike up, and when they found the dog it was fine, no broken bones or anything.

I guess you could say that you're still "grousing" about the experience?
