wanted: lockers

im 17 and fixing up my 88 yota PU 4x4 (4cyl EFI) and im interested in a set of lockers, preferably used, being as that im 17 and cant afford new. let me know if ya got anything that will work. Email garretteastman@hotmail.com

Don't forget that a majority of locker installs will require you to setup the diff gears.

Since correct gear setup is far from easy, most have to spend the additional labor for that part of the install.

yea im sure i got the stock gears in there, im just looking for some more traction to show up some the other 4x4 friends of mine lol

I'm pretty sure Elvota was referring to setting the differential gear preloads, clearances, and every other highly sensitive adjustment that has to be made so as not to destroy the differential in short order.

Exactly... wasn't even getting to the step of changing your ratios.

Just trying to give you a heads up on the added expenses that can be incurred when one purchases lockers.

i would just buy a lockright around 200 and put it in the rear.. you will show up all your friends get it professionally set up and install it yourself!
