OME 862 coils

I have a set of OME 862 coils. They were in the rear of my 4runner for right under a year. They have been great, but now I'm swapping leafs. Search OME 862's and you'll come up with a thread about my setup. As for lift....they level me out with a Trailmaster 4" front lift. If you want pictures, let me know...$100 plus shipping ($180 new). Price is negotiable. Also open to trades.

Rear links...$50 a piece plus shipping (very, very negotiable).

Trailmaster Panhard drop bracket...shoot a reasonable price.

No...862. The 862 is a coil for the rear of a Land Cruiser. It is supposed to lift it about .75". It, of course, gives considerable more than that for a 4runner. Like I said, it sat even with my 4" front bracket lift.

Interested.... so what was the total lift of the rear??

Hmmm

Like I said, it evened me out with my front 4" bracket lift. Land Cruiser coils are said to give about 4" and these are supposed to give 3/4" to a Land Cruiser so I would expect that they are around 5". They ride nicely and flex well. I just moved to leafs to balance my projected SAS.

would they be fine if I just used them in conjuction with 1.5 bj spacers and then a a little bit of crank on the Torsion. Because I always am really loaded down so would the gear I pack make the offset a little less extreme, because I wouldn't want to like a dragster funny car, and I have been looking for some stock lc 80 coils, and I already have the bj spacers and am now waiting on my rear option to appear so I can get the ball rolling with this lift getting installed. I take it these coils have the offset heights as well as all the other 80 series rear coils.....
Anybody know about the effects of carefully grinding coils to match up to take away the offset? I have been thinking about that, but I am thinking that would negatively effect their designed spring rate.

Cutting springs will cause them to become stiffer.

so if the coils have the offset that they are supposed to as they do on the L.C. did your runner lean or did u get the same side for both?

It didn't lean. One is just barely taller than the other. They are a "complete" set for a LC and will net you about 1"-1 1/5" over a regular LC set.

RE: LC rear coils

Where are you located? How did your 4r ride loaded down (loaded as in a pit box, camp gear, and spare tire)? Where can we find a pic of it?
