with that code have you tried cleaning the maf sensor and resting the ecu ?

i did reset the ecu and i went off for 2days it didnt come on the first time until the day after i checked the air filter....it was pretty dusty it was a grayish instead of white so today i went and got a new filter and sum maf cleaner and reset it and we will c what happens

P0420 specifies catalyst efficiency (as measured by the 02 sensor). Either the sensor is bad, or the catalytic converter died (which is unlikely on that new a truck).
But if i remember correctly, P0420 specifies pre-cat'd emissions, so it would have nothing to do with the catalytic convertor. This sensor should be on the exhaust, before the cat.
To help you look, most sensors are mounted about 1 o clock on the exhaust collector/manifold, so start there.
