I don't know what hipping is, but shipping to that zipcode (using USPS priority) is $5 with the box. I guess I could use a flat rate envelope, but I'd rather it be safe in transit.

I have talked with apple, but they couldn't fix it over the phone; so it may take a while to figure this one out...

Dang, that sux! My nano took a crap 4 days ago for the 4th time in it's warranty period. Extended warranty anyone? My first one was prone to the cracked screen defect and the refurb ones I got were just that...refurbs.

I'd just go to an apple store if you have one nearby and they should take care of you (if you are under warranty). If you aren't, but you'd still like to have it fixed, I'd submit an online request which will have them send you an envelope with instructions etc. Good Luck!
