downey 3" lift kit with shocks

1st and 2nd gen pickups and 1st gen 4runners.

Downey leaf springs with detschetech shocks <sorry cant spell

got this kit for christmas of '04

so its been on my rig for a year and a half. good shape and works great.

my truck is in the shop getting my trail gear suspension put on so when it comes back i'll post some pics.

im selling the set of 4 leaf springs for 200 bucks and giving you the shocks.

leafs are large and awkwardlly shaped so i prefer not to ship. even if you pay it is a lot of hassle for me to package them and all of that crap. so 200 bucks pickup most preferred.

Chino Hills, california

tommorow i'll post some pics of them on my rig so you can see lift height and that stuff, im on the wrong computer to do that kind of stuff now.

Wish I'd seen this a while ago. I already bought some used lift springs, need to get shocks still.

My question was how you dealt with the steering? I've been told I can't just slap on the lift spings without doing something about steering. I was hoping you could shed some light if possible.

Thanks, Dave (PM or email if you prefer)

you can use stock steering as long as you dont go too tall and dont have too large of tires. i had this 3" lift with 31's for a long time and my stock steering was fine. once i got 33's i threw out the draglink and pitman arm joint. and if you go too tall then its more stress on the draglink and its connections. so this lift with 31's or smaller is ideal.
