bighorn tires

Hi Folks,

I have about 3000 miles on my maxxis bighorns and one of them has several cracks in it. They are great in the mud, and I get a vibration at about 65mph but I have a feeling it is due to the tire shop not investing in a part for their machine.
Anyway, here are some pictures.

I actually purchased my Summit mudawgs (same as bighorns) lightly used and can't say enough good things about them. For tyhose of you looking to buy these check out summit and see if they're cheaper there under the other name. Yes they are the same i checked. Here's some pics and by the way as far as i can tell they run a little smaller than the actual 33 size it says on the tire but i might be wrong as i said i purchased them used.

Week. 16 2007 is the date on the tires
John stossel has a great investigation on old ties being passes off as new ones.
I have written a letter to both tire maker and the tire shop requesting a replacement. I will say again I have been very impressed at the mud performance with the tire

I hope maxis will stand by their tires

just picked up a set of these for 300.00 with rims, and less than 500 miles on them, glad to see that they are getting good reviews here!

Thinking about picking up a set of these tires in 30X9.50-15. How quiet/smooth are they on the highway?

I'd say like all streetable mud tires they are quiet when new and as the tread wears they get louder... I'm down to about 1/2 tread on this set and they hum pretty good at highway speeds.
