New GY Authority Tires
I paid approx. $890.00 mounted and balanced from WalMart. They actually did a nice job with the balancing and they actually used a torque wrench. I set the air pressure to 40psi and that seems to be the best so far.
The sidewall is very substantial and should take plenty of abuse. I don`t think it`s fair to compare it to the load C Duratrac because of the difference in load rating. I was not impressed with the Duratrac(C) when I fingered it in the store, it felt very thin and I would never use that tire on my truck. I was never able to compare it to the E rated version, which I here is fine.
OK some pic`s as promised, driveway shots only at this time;I will have some dirty pic`s by the end of next week.

Crazy to hear those wear so fast for you! i always thought these were the WalJunk exclusive version of a Duratrac/MTR hybrid, both of which are known for decent mileage. my Duratracs have almost 50k on them and are about 50% tread...on a 6000lb Land Cruiser...

It might have a *bit* to do with my driving. They were holding up magnificently, then I decided to do a couple camping trips in the Fordyce area and I'm sure that did some significant damage as I didn't air down and have open diffs. Also my alignment is off.

Well, that might explain a bit, especially the alignment, ive seen Michelin defenders wear in 30k because of an alignment

I just got a set of these on my 1st gen runner in 31x10.50, they ride pretty nice, a bit of whine and they walk just a tad (but im coming from a set of near bald, rock hard BFG AT KO's) They take the bumps nice and soft (big plus for me, as i live in a rural area that the state ignores when it comes to road repair), I had some time to test them in light mud and they did flawlessly, they also do well on dry packed dirt, loose gravel, and smooth, new, slick as snot pavement. No rain yet though, thatll be the big test.

Im really starting to like them, they are gripping in spots where my old BFG's would let go and spin, also they have improved my stopping distance over the BFG's.
Got em onto the expressway, they did flawlessly, 70 MPH with minimal whine, they just simply floated over the expansion joints and other bumps.
Overall, 10/10 so far. I have high hopes for wet performance, should be next to impossible to hydroplane them with that ridiculously deep tread.
