IROKS OR LTB's

So I've been trying to decide what tires to get for my 1988 pickup with a tg 3 inch sas. I've narrowed it down to either 35 12.50 ltbs or 36 13.50 iroks. my pickup sees at most 5 miles of pavement per day. That's to work and back. and i never go over 35 on my way to work. the rest of the driving is wheeling. i wheel in a lot of differenterrains. mud, dirt, rocky trails, occasionally snow. could anyone tell me their experiences with these tires in similar driving conditions? Thanks

Everyone in my 4wd club says irocks work great on the rocks " rubicon / fordyce " and for snow wheeling. I don't think they last very long on the street but for you they might do ok.

Thank you! In complete honesty, i don't expect either one of these tires to last a long time on pavement. I'm looking for offroad performance mostly. if i know its going to be a while before i wheel, ill just put my street slicks on lol.

Based on this info, I vote for Iroks.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a question though. will the iroks do better in mud than a mtr like a toyo mt? That's what i had before the sas in a 31. They did OK. will the iroks be better?

You could split the difference and run a Truxus M/T. That's what I am currently running.

I had Toyo Open Country M/T's..i think they suck. wouldn't clean out even with wheel spin

LTB's will wear fast on the street

Dropzone, that's why i said they were "OK" lol. The toyos seemed pretty decent at first, until thet got down to about 50-60 percent them they sucked. My pickup only sees a max of 5 miles a day on pavement, do u think that will be an issue with the ltbs? And during that miles or so, i don't exceed 35 mph.

Yes the Iroks will do much better in the mud than a toyo or any other normal mud terrain tire (meaning bfg, toyo, procomp)

The Irok's will do good in the mud, but on pavement they are really loud.

Well i forgot to let you guys know i ended up going with some bfg km2's in the 35 12.50 flavour. Dont seem too bad. They do even better since i welded the spiders in the rear.
