Ford recalls more Bridgestone/Firestone!

Heard on the radio news, Ford is recalling 240,000 Bridgestone/Firestone tires from the Expedition. I forgot the tire name but it wasn't the Revo.

It was linked to 3 deaths so the recall nightmare for Ford begins again!

...uh oh! Blame Game II begins.

You would think that both companies might terminate their relationship after the last fiasco. Life's mysteries...

Thats funny, cause i did a tv show that was sponsored by Ford and we had a couple Excursions. On one day we went through six tires driving on gravel roads. Way to big a truck for the tire in my humble opinion.

We have a bunch of accounts that love that tire. It will be interesting to hear what they link the cause to this time. That has been a very reliable tire for years.

I agree, the steeltex is a very good HD truck tire. I always recommended them for 3/4 and 1 ton trucks.

I don't know about that...

My dad just bought himself that a few weeks ago. If I could afford one of those, I wouldn't be driving my Toyota.

Ah even with the 6.0L Turbo Diesel! Nice choice!

I have worked for both Ford as a technician and Firestone as a tire tech and a salesman. The fault is with those firestone tires. You would be suprised how soft the sidewall is compared to the Bridgestones!

It's not about affording the truck, it's about affording the repair bills.

Well, with the 100k mile warranty on the entire drivetrain, I don't think he'll be having any repair bills anytime soon.

That truck is the only Ford vehicle I would own though. I might consider a gas powered engine, but that's unlikely. Diesel all the way when it comes to full size rigs. And that 6.0 hauls major @$$!

Of course, I'd always keep my Yota for a trail rig.
