Unhappy Extended wheel studs???

I have a 85 4Runner and installed a set of ION 171 wheels (15x8)... These are alloy wheels and require a taper on the lug nuts used. I purchased a set of tapered lug nuts (assuming that would be all I needed) but because of the thickness of the wheel centers there is certainly not enough thread engagement between the studs and nuts.
I have found that they are 12mm x 1.5 but have not found anyone to advertise an extended length stud specifically for toyota trucks. The two large auto parts stores don't have them and can only tell me what the stock replacement would be (don't have those either). I'm concerned that those found on ARPs site will not have the proper shoulder...

Can anyone help?

A good auto parts store should be able to help you find longer studs by comparing the stock replacements to the rack of studs they have. Just look at the studs side-by-side and as long as the splined section is the same diamter and length you're good to go.

Do different shank lengths/diameters exist? I'm not sure how much space exists between the outer diameter of the studs and the inner diameter of the holes. This is one item that I don't have a lot of experience with so please forgive my ignorance.

I have run Dorman wheel studs for many hears on my '85. 610-144 (2-7/8" long - 3/4" longer than front studs) and 610-073 (2-3/8" long - 3/4" longer than rear studs). They are 1/2x20 thread but the lug nuts use the same size socket as the Toyota lug nuts and they press into the wheels hubs lust like stock.

Thanks 4Crawler and HazMat! Does it seem logical that a wheel such as the ION would be set up to take nuts with a shank? I think I'd rather just replace the studs as I am replacing my birfields, and inners/rear axle shafts as soon as my packages arrive.
The matrix studs may work for me but...

I really don't want to spend ARP $ ya know?
I understand that 10ths of a mm aren't a lot but this is for a fairly significant part of the vehicle.
