Best Mud Terrain Tires(M/ts)?

I'm just looking for some opinions on what the best M/Ts.
I'm looking for some that will do well here on the east coast.
Tellico is basically my backyard.
I'm going to buy a set of 33"s and a set of 35"s in the near future.
What are the best tires in your opinion.
Where should i purchase them? Local? The Internet?
I've been looking at the Pro-comp x-terrains
But they are steep in price and I haven't scored many opinions on them
So shoot away.

Interco all the way when it comes to the "best" mud tires.

TrXuS M/T's are damn fine tries, and relatively cheap too. Otherwise, why do anything other than Swampers?

Well when you say mud terrains I guess that can include radial TSL's. As far as tread goes besides TSL's I'm say ur best bet is Goodyear mt/r's or toyo MT's. A girl at school has bridgestones and they arent bad looking either.

I hear the cooper discoverer STT is basically the same tire as the mickey thompson baha MTZ. They sure do look similar, and the coopers don't break the bank too badly.

your gonna hear a lot about the BFG's and with the tread change coming up for the M/T in the later part of this year, you may score some cheap...
Also there are knock off's of the BFG, such as Kumho Road Venture M/T's. Then there are the Goodyear MTR's and the Cooper SST's
Your gonna hear a lot of opinion, but one thing you have to consider is how do they handle on the road? Are these just for wheeling, or are these tires DD-ing it too? If its just wheeling get the Swampers. CANNOT go worng there, Pit Bulls are some nice tires too...but I've never seen them in much Mud, mostly just rocks...

By the way, hope to see you at the SouthEast 4Runner Jamboree in June!!!

I would also look at the Dayton MT's. I have them on my 4runner and love them. I am on my second set now. They are reasonably priced, extra durable, agressive, and they clean out well in the mud. They also work well on slick rock and loose dirt. Overall I think they are a all around great tire.

TSL's, amazing. Boggers, better maybe, just as good surely. It's too bad I can't figure out where to get some Jungle Trekkers (check link below). I'm talkin' for serious mud, and I have seen my share.

http://www.procomp.com.au/Html/Pc_Pr...gleTrekker.htm

The Extreme Trekkers look all-right too.

One I will not recommend for mud are Ground Hawgs, they look cool but they don't dig through wet dirt well, that I've seen.

Nothin' wrong with BFG's, just not a deep mud tire in my book.

goodyear wranglers mtr are the best. bfg is hyped up crap. All my freinds run their a/ts and they dont grip for crap. I run some off brand mustar tires because they were brand new and free with my truck. Next set of tires is gonna be goodyear wranglers.

You will always see everyone say their mud tires "are as good as Super Swampers" - so if you're gonna be in serious mud all the time, why don't you get swampers?

NOTE: If this thing is going to be driven on the street AT ALL, get one of the radial versions! The bias ply SUCK on the street!

another vote for the dayton mt's. 10k on mine and they show no signs of wear. mostly pavement and interstate, yet they perform well offroad as well.

I second that!! I've ran BFG's as well, But MTR's are my choice of tire!!

But Some will say that MTR's are not an Mud pre-say tire!!

BFG Muds are superior to G/Y MTRs in muddy conditions. The MTR was not designed as a mud tire.

Pro Comp Xterrains are not a good mud tire.

Yes, I have run all three of these tires. BFG M/T is the best for muddy conditions, but I would look into the Interco TSL radials and Truxus depending on how aggressive you want.
