Balancing 37s..

I have a tire balancer and need to rebalance my 37/14.50/15 toyos. But there is only weight placed on the inside of the wheel and not the outside. Im sure thats just because weights may be pulled off while out "playing" in your truck. But in my case my tire balancer shows a weight placement for both inner and outer sides i the wheel. How do i make up for the out side portion of weights? Do i place the same amount in the same location it calls for but in the inside of the wheel? Thanks

With 37's it will be tough to get them to 0.00 out. Your best bet is to static balance them (tape on weights in the center of the barrel of the wheel on the inside obviously). Could give more info if I knew what kind of balancer you have. But yea 37" M/T's are going to vibrate at highway speeds no matter what you do.

Have you considered balancing with beads/pellets? I've heard that method works pretty well.

Yes but not really interested. I have a quality balancer that works great just looking for the best method in using it. The tire has weights on it from the first time it was balance, so some how there is a way and im determined to find it.

Hoping 8 ounces per tire will help even things out

Dumped them in through the hole for the mini monster deflators

Refilled in 30 seconds

I have beads in my 35s. They're not quite an airsoft bead, but look similar. They're made for tire balancing and are used on big truck (semi) tires. And they balance out perfectly.

75mph on 35" MTRs and they just start to vibe more. I'm done with static balancing, a larger tire will always go out of balance quicker then smaller street tires. Beads never change the ability to rebalance once rolling. I've never had BBs before on any tires, I'll never go back.

Well im not doing the "bead method" sense i have access to perfectly good balancer. I went ahead and used normal weights on both sides of the wheels and got it to 0 out. Rides SOO much better, can't even describe it.

K...so yes 37 are going to take a lot of weight and need rebalanced more than regular tires because of lug wear...you can balance them it will just take a lot of weight and you may end up chasing weights...static balancing is when you only apply weight to the inside of the tire as opposed to both sides...pound on weights work, along with tape on and both have the ability to come off when playing...balancing beads work for tires over 35s but can have their inconsistencies... In order to static balance you will need to program your setting to static balance and take the arm closest to the machine and place it in the wheel where you wish to place the weights then push the pedal down to program that placement spot close the lid get your reading and place the weight where it tells you...newer machines will have a laser that shines across where weights go... Hope this helps

The bead method was offered as an alternative method of balancing using traditional weights because many people have used beads successfully and the beads don't get lost while wheeling. Therefore not requiring constant re balancing. ..
