86-89 33x10.5 pics

Alright. I understand that this topic has been beaten to death 33s will fit without a lift. I know that. I'm getting a set of 33x10.5s pretty soon. I have searched for this quite a bit but I am yet to see what I was really looking for. Does anybody have pictures of a first gen 4runner/second gen pickup running 33s with no lift? I'm most interested in 33x10.5s since that's what I'm going to get, but 12.5s or 9.5s would be nice to see too

I wouldn't try anything larger than a 31 or 32 without lift. Rub would be an issue. 32s on an 86 runner no lift rubbed like hell.

I plan on trimming and hammering the slash guards and pinch welds as needed. 32x11.5s are wider than 33x10.5s so they may not rub in the same ways

Put on a 2 inch body lift. Cheap, easy and will keep you from cutting. If you get them on post some pics.

Look up MaK92-4RnR's 1992 4Runner build thread. I know it's not a 86-89, but it's the same idea.

Here's some threads:

Is this based off of personal experience? The dimensions of the rims play a big part. Like, I have my 32s on 15x10 rims with 4" backspacing and they rub a bit. If I had them on a 15x8 rims with 3.75" backspacing, they probably wouldn't rub. Just saying that 32s will rub in general is misleading.

I've seen 37s on these trucks without a lift. They key is cutting and pounding with a BFH.

How lol. If you hit a bump, doesn't it rub, what about full lock? 4 inch suspension my 33's didn't rub at all. 35's did at full lock on a hump. Couple more inches of lift. Golden. Idk. Magic to me.

If I turned completely and cross a ditch or hard bump then I rub... But other then that no run at all.

Thanks for comment to.. She's currently under the knife waiting a SAS

33x10.5"s may not rub on your truck with no lift but they would have rubbed on both of mine...

My 86 4runner with 3" springs in the rear and BJ spacers in the front. 15x7 rims with 4" backspace

I told my buddy that works at a local ford/dodge dealership (cheaper price and he will get em all mounted up if I get him Starbucks) to order my 33x10.5 BFG AT/KOs today. Should have pics relatively soon! Now I just need to get some rear 4.88s

Got the tires all mounted up today. My mom took it in while I was at work to get everything put on (and surprised me with some black rock crawler wheels). It was dark before I got home so I'm ganna take pics and post em up tomorrow.

Got the new tires mounted up. 33x10.5 BFG All-Terrains mounted on 15x8 procomp rock crawler wheels with 3.75" of back spacing. I think they look fantastic. Absolutely nothing has been done to the suspension. Stock leaves and shackles, T-bars haven't been cranked or relaxed, no BJ spacers. Absolutely nothing. They rub a teeny tiny bit on the splash guard when they are at full engine-idle-is-down-from-the-power-steering-pump lock. I haven't stuffed them yet but I will have to do a little trimming on the end caps of the bumper, the pinch weld, and the splash guard for that. I am even able to keep the stock mudflaps!

Here are some close up shots. I still find it interesting that I throughout this time researching I could not find a single picture of a rig like mine with nothing done to the suspension and no body lift.
