i've seen them before... slick idea. place to cook and sleep. thats all i need when camping.....

 

If I had a place with a garage, I may have gone that route instead of the roof top tent.

But for really getting off the road, most would not hold up to off road travel until the Adventure Trailers one was introduced.
But it will carry a hefty price tag too.

But for just going camping, those at the Camping World site are pretty cool.
There is an RV dealer in Auburn that carries some.

I think it is neat that 80 year old woman gets out and camps with hers.

 

ya.. you can make any trailer an "offroad" trailer... it just requires different springs, and tires.

i took mine down all of archers firebreak at browns camp (minus rocky up hill, can opener and waterfall) this weekend, quad and all. i do need to come up with a different hitch. the ball and coupler doesnt provide enough flex. i'll either go Pintle or the adventure trailers setup. the tear drop would be nice because everything is packed and ready to go, you just hook up and roll.

 

one of my instructors here just finished his, and gave me a ton of info on them, and build plans. there just like any other trailer, can be made to go places. i'm thinking of building one, and see which one i like more my tent/trailer or teardrop

 

ive never been in one, so i cant say. cool idea though.

Uuuuh Hello, I have built/am building one(another never ending project), even posted pics on this site before, oh well, I am proud to show it off anyway, and I have even been camping in it already.




I dont have many more pics yet, as I have been living without a camera (broke it, don't know how, different story), but it has been replaced and new pics are coming.

Also check out this sight T&TTT, they have plans and guides available (I used the Generic Benroy Plans) for free in a PDF format, there are members on the forum from all over the world that have solved nearly any problem out there, and if you are interested there is a section for off road builds

 

Spent a couple of days up in Deception Pass State Park last week. This was the first freeway pull, and the truck and trailer did well.

I know this has probably been asked before but will 33" tires fit on that without rubbing?

 

My trailer, sure, with a different combo of spring, axle and/or fender. My truck, others on this forum say it is possible. The trailer in the pic, again sure, with a different combo of spring, axle and/or fender. The car in the pic, well anything is possible with cubic dollars or a sawsall.


Could be fun?!?
