Good survival book?

Years ago I had an orange colored "survival book" (pocket sized so it fit into my fatigues cargo pocket), had knot tying, snare set ups, which plants are edible and which are poisonous, which trees have the best sap for wounds, etc... I've been looking to get another one but can't remember what it was called (looked at a few book stores and survival places and can't find it). I think I acquired it when I was still in the Army but don't think it was an approved Field Manual.

Do any of you have one of these or know what it was called? Going up north here in a few months into an area that I am completely unfamiliar with and would like to have it on hand.

As a kid I took a book on camp trips titled How To Survive In The Woods, by Bradford Anger. It had the information you stated in your post. It was a valuable tool to bring. It should be in my bug-out bag!

That book is wicked!

The only other two survival books I've found worth getting:

Deep Survival

SAS Survival Handbook
