cummins swap R.28 for 1990 4runner v6
I love my runner but the v6 is gutless and im tired of rebuilding the heads im considering swapping out put i need help in making the right decision

2.8 Cummins adapter
We've done adapters for the VW 1.9 TDI to the W56 (and shortly the 151) and the Cummins 2.8 to the Jeep NV3550. We have a 2.8 adapter started for the Toyota as well. We replaced the flywheel on the 2.8 with a starter drive (like a flexplate) and an adapter out to the flywheel.

You'll get more power the more you pay. The big benefit of the OM617 is that it's dirt cheap, gets good mileage, and has more power than the stock motors. Around here you can pick a car up and part it out/scrap it and come out with free OM617!
