Yes I understand the VIN indicates which motor came with the vehicle .

I guess my question is sort of ambiguous .... Some of these smog 'technicians' look like they can barely spell their own name . Is it reasonable to think that some techs might not be able to detect a 22re in a 4runner that is supposed to have the 3vze ?

Or is that just wishful thinking??

I guess secretly I am just trying to avoid a trip to the BAR ref....

 

I was worry whit my swap 1980 pickup whit 1uz 2 weeks ago pass referee on my second time after relocate cats , pass , I ask the reefery about 5speed tranny and they not alowe ,so keep auto and cats on oem position that's my advice ,
