Scribed! Seriously concidering a 2jzgte in mine. Any links or known swaps that used the supra auto and the inchworm t-case adaptor? I like my stick but the auto seems "easier" and probably cheaper. Opinions?

Not likely cheaper, the Inchworm adapter is not cheap. Easier? If you're leaving the 2j stock, it's not that bad. I like my auto for offroad though.

I assume that means that you're using the adaptor? No, not cheap, but I don't "know a guy" who has the right trans and bellhousing and input shaft, clutch, ect. just laying around that he'll let me have for $200. I figure sourcing all the parts for the r150/151 hybrid would cost me as much or more than the inchworm adaptor, plus, an auto might be nice for a change.
I plan on staying stock with the engine, at least at first. Possibly change over to usdm spec turbos and injectors when/if the jdm ones go out. Would do some mods to let the engine work "better" but not planning to try to get more than 350hp tops. At least that's my current thoughts. What are you running and how do you like it? What would you do different?

What would I do different? Buy a fiesta, never pick up a wrench, and probably hang out in my california beach house by this point. Haha

All kidding aside, I have always prefered an auto transmission offroad, so I'm a fan of that route forsure. If you're going to keep the 2jz in that BPU range, the stock supra/aristo a340e (in good shape) will hold up fine.

So out of curiosity what have all of you that have done the 2jz swap with a w56 trans done about the rear drive shaft? I am considering this over my 1uzfe (parts are much cheaper for the 2jz) and it will be going into a 95 4runner with a factory automatic (ewww a340h). Should I look for a 4cyl 4runner (manual) drive shaft?

That's a negative to both of those questions. The only flywheels what will bolt directly to the 1JZ/2JZ motors are:
-93-98 MK4 Supra turbo v160/161 6-Speed flywheel
-93-98 MK4 Supra N/A W58 5-speed flywheel
-90-92 JDM MK3 1JZ R154 flywheel

Same goes for the bellhousings. The 1JZ and 2JZ share the same bellhousing bolt pattern but they are the same as each other and no other engine.

^^^ man have mercy on that w56 lol that things probly going to be thrashed in a few months behind a 2JZ.

As far as making lots of power with a GE i think u bought the wrong 2JZ lol get a turbo GTE and the sky is the limit. Otherwise i would just get a header/full exhaust, and maybe toss some cams in her.

Or... get a real 2JZ with turbo/turbos on her

2jz into t100?

so new to the t100 fields, just did some small work to get a 3in lift (ball joint spacer tortion bar and 3in block in rear.. sittin pretty on 33x12.5xr15)

now however comma....

i do alot of towing, and before soemone comes along saying sell the pos and buy a tundra... no... i love these t100's if not them, then an older pickup dlx or sr5. fun!

so my question is. 2jz or 1jz. will either one bolt up to the existing tranny and transfer case, or do i need to switch? and whats a w series? sorry lots of new verbage as looking to ditch this 5vz and switch to a turbo compatiable engine
cheers!
