2JZGTE Swap kit
#21
Are you using a JDM or US engine?
I would not put a w56 behind a 2jz-tte, maybe a 2jze, but not the turbo.
Oh and w56 will go behind a 7m-ge, an r-series trans resides behind the 7mgte...

you can keep it close to ORS 3.4 swap pricing or more convenient I think you might just have a chance to snag a large portion of the Toyota motor swap crowd.
As far as the wiring goes, Toyota has made it fairly easy (relative I suppose) wiring a 2jz in it is no more difficult than doing a 3.4. We will look into the wiring as part of the kit.

we have used both the USDM and the JDM 2jzs. my truck has a JDM motor in it. I would recommend the JDM motors based on cost.
we are using the w150-w154 trans. we think it is the only one that will take the abuse.
This is great info. We have done a couple of ORS kits and they work very well.

Also, can you take some pics under the truck so we can see clearances? (oil pan etc)

Any of the r150-151 or 154 transmissions will work. You are correct the 150 and 151 will bolt directly to the transfer case. I have a modified 154 trans in my truck. I wanted the longest gear ratio available, knowing I would be driving it everyday.
The nice thing about the having big power is you can take advantage of longer gear ratios.
Thanks,
Rory

Yup i hear you, right now i have 4.10's with 33's, cause i like the highway RPM's (with 28's it revs way too high, it's not necessary)
I was actually thinking of using a r154 gearset in a r150 to get a nice overdrive when i got a boosted 3.4, so i can run 4.88 gears and still have a low cruising rpm...
I see you do turnkey swaps for $10995... It's a bit more than 3.4 turnkey... but not 3.4 supercharged +urd'd...hrmmmm....

Having owned and/or driven 7M-GTE, 1JZ-GTE and 2JZ-GTE Supras, I can not emphasis enough how fun these engines can make a car (or truck). Each of them has plenty of low end torque for a truck application, as long as you keep the JZ's twin turbos instead of going the "big single" route.
I could get 26 mpg with my 430 hp Supra, not sure why our lighter 250 hp 4cylinder Subaru Outback can't get that kind of mileage.
Very clean install....I want one.

honestly, id rather do this swap than the 3.4L
I always liked the idea but figured i couldnt do it, if you put together a kit i would really consider it as an option, but as a college student it would def. be after a little while of weighing the options

I've always said I will eventually put a 2jzgte in my truck and know it looks like this might be possible. Sweet!!!
now the only problem is money. frresh out of college and no money. I do think it wopuld be easier with the bigger engine bay. now my dreams are closerr to reality. eventually that engine setup with 16-18" of suspension travel and 37" baja TA's. I want her to fly!!
