2JZGTE Swap kit
 

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so please forgive me if it is not.

As some of you may know I have been driving/testing my 1994 Pick up with a 2JZGTE (twin turbo Supra) Swap for about a year now. The combination works so well it makes us wonder why Toyota did not do this from the start. I have used the truck for everthing from towing a 22 foot boat (no it does not slow down over hills) to drag racing it at the local track(13.2@100mph traction limited). I currently drive it every day to work, avg. about 20 mpg (not bad cosidering the beating it takes by me and all the guys at the shop).

We are currently putting together parts lists and pricing on a kit. We would like more people to experiance this fantastic combination and would like some feed back on how much call there is for such a swap.

The kit will include the following

1.Bellhousing
2.Clutch
3.Throwout fork,pivot,bearing etc.
4.Pilot bushing
5.Slave cylinder
6.Flywheel
7.Hardware pack
8.Motor mounts
9.Trans mount
10.Down pipe to be used with the stock twins
11.Custom radiator
12.Front mount intercooler
13.Intercooler piping
14.Intake piping and filter

This is not a complete list yet and more info is on the way.

Holy crap!!! I was driving my friends Supra this weekend, and it was seriously fun and fast. I would love to have that kinda power in my truck. Nice work.:banger:

The kit will include a fan and mounting. We are working on the parts list. We are considering a few different levels of the kit. Some people like to source their own parts.

2jz's are avalible online, we also will be selling motors. Our truck has a 2JZGTE from an Toyota Aristo(far less expensive than the supra). The US Supra has a little more power than the Japanese spec Aristo. They both share the same bullet proof internals. We have built a few Supras with 650+ hp on pump gas and over 800 on race gas.

Dear God! That is outstanding! Nice work...

As far as A/C goes we are working on a solution. It will require twin side mount intercoolers instead of a front mount. It will also require going to a big single turbo set up. The stock twins use more room at the back of the firewall right where the A/C under dash unit is.

We will keep you posted.

will the kit be usable with a 1jzte motor as well if we wanted to go with a slightly more inexpensive option?

It should work with the 1jz. accessories(pumps, alt. etc) would be the only thing that would have to be confirmed.

The 2zj from the Aristos and big bodied cars are fairly cheap. Starting about $2100.00

Oh geez.. i've been wanting to do a turbo 3.4 swap.... but if you can keep 4x4 and do a 2jz... with a r150f.... oh man i will be super interested.
have you thought about doing turnkey installs? Like, drive truck down, swap motor, etc?
Traction limited you say.. does that mean it doesnt have 4x4?
Ok keep me on the list of interested people...if you can get this worked out in the next year or two... you might have a customer...

The 4wd works same as stock. I did not use it at the track because I was not ready to replace the front diff in case it scattered from a 6000 rpm launch. I will have a back up diff ready this summer and see if I can get deep into the 12's, maybe high 11's.

I have a feeling that is going to be one pricey kit. Very nice work, and I'm sure it will be worth every penny, but I'm beating my head on my desk guessing how much it will cost when all is said and done. Does it bolt up to a w-56 like the m series motors?

Are you using a JDM or US engine?

I would not put a w56 behind a 2jz-tte, maybe a 2jze, but not the turbo.
Oh and w56 will go behind a 7m-ge, an r-series trans resides behind the 7mgte...

But yes, ballpark pricing would be great...

Also, how much work is it wiring it in?

Considering 240sx/2JZ swap mounts cost $1700 this isn't a bad start.

Sounds very interesting to me if (crossfingers and whispering so truck cant hear me) the 3.0 gives up the ghost this sounds like a sweet mod.

Well being that I hate wiring (I know I'm not the only one lol) and as a small suggestion as a would be/could be consumer, I think that if you offered a more complete kit with wiring harness etc. you might be able to push a little more product out the door but that's up to you to decide. I'm definitely not telling you what to do or how to sell your kit but a lot of people will be really lost with a 2jz, ecu, 5 gallon bucket of wiring, and some motor mounts, unless it's just me :barf: Cool concept, if you can keep it close to ORS 3.4 swap pricing or more convenient I think you might just have a chance to snag a large portion of the Toyota motor swap crowd. :banger:
