1uz swap time !!!
Today I start to put the 1994 4runner back to BA style. I went to the salvage yard and spent way to much money and gathered many parts
So far I have completely disassembled the front of the runner ( including rad support) pulled engine and other misc, need to remove POS 340h still . Will post pics soon crossing fingers all my reading didn't make me dumb and that all goes reasonably well so I don't have to get my beat !
Have 1uz from 1994 SC to install with A341e along with A340f and T case (T-100) it's going to stay IFS for a minute until I gain more $$ and time SAS is coming I promise! Maybe double up on the crawl portion and double T cases
Now on to the show !!

Starting to remove a few things. Got to love the radiator brackets ... Who ever I bought this from thought gray epoxy would hold ...

Transmission removal
One thing I'm sure you have noticed is the safety equipment I use... I have to practice what I teach, I don't like going to the ER or hospital ( my 3 month stay from a accident cured me of that quickly) and don't want to end up like my dad (deaf by the time he was 40 from never using hearing protection around heavy machinery).
I don't think many people consider safety as part of the project. But if your dead or badly injured your mods are probably not going to help you. So spend some time and evaluate what your doing and think of all the things that could injure you. I think two of the best are safety glasses and jack stands, so get some if you don't have any!

I've learned in my years as a mechanic that sometimes you have to remove other items to make it easier and less stressful, so I let the stabilizer bar down to give more clearance to getting the trans out.
The A340h (left) and A340f (right) are very similar but as I show in later pics they are a bit different. I also took all the exhaust out and cat to make more room its not very roomy under there!
Now that all the junk is out its time to get out the pressure washer and make it all nice and clean.
After that its time to take the A340f apart and swap parts with the A341. It's also a quick look into the condition of the trans and do a few mods to help with fluid flow issues
Another issue I've ran into is using an I pad for this... It is not so user friendly. Photos are tricky and I am trying to figure out how to delete my attachments so I can upload more photos? I looked throughout the FAQ but striking out ... Any ideas?

Use a 3rd party pic host site like photobucket. It's free and makes the pics a lot easier to see.

The post I made with the three pics in it I used photobucket and when I went to post pics again it said error you have reached your limit edit your attachments and it gave a link I clicked on the link and it went to a blank web page with errors on it. So I went to my control panel. Scrolled the left side to the bottom clicked on attachments from the misc catagory and it went to the same blank web page with errors..... I don't know what I am missing?? I have used my aloted space and can't remove the pics I have on here that are stored.
