Posting all my questions here instead of starting a million threads.
My particular swap involves an 89 single cab truck with a 3vz and standard 4x4 transmission, a wiring harnes from a 96 standard 4x4 Tacoma and a 5vz from an 98 automatic 4runner.

My current question is about the wiring harness i am building to connect the engine(5vz)wiring harnes to my trucks body harness and one of the connections that involves three wires:

Pin #16 on the white 5vz engine to body (connector ik2 in my tis)
W-R
Male: COR, efi relay, +B, vsv evap
Female: +B data link, vsv vapor pressure sender, MAF meter, o2 sensor, idle air valve

Pin #5 on the grey 3vz body harness (c1)
W-R
Male: COR, efi main relay, a/c idle up, vsv
Female: tccs ecu +B +B1, ox sensor, check connector, fuel pressure up, vsv

Pin #12 on 5vz 4x4 ECU e5 connector
+B


My question is weather or not I solder all three of these wires together or not, also what is function +B?

 

+B is constant +12V, meaning it goes directly to the battery or fusebox.

And yes, if you have verified that those three wires go to the same place, they would have to be soldered together.

Mine is a 92 5-speed Pickup with a 01 Taco 5VZE, and I ended up needing to solder together three wires also. Couldn't tell you which ones now, but the count was three.

 

Alright thanks, I know there is another three wire connection ran from the engine bay for the starter but your talking about a different one right?

 

I mean same function, not same place as in same connector.
