I am swaping a 3.4 into my 91 4runner that has a SAS and 7 inches of lift. Do I still need the T100 oil pan if I have a lift kit? Will everything clear?

 

If it has been SAS'd, you need a 2WD T100 pan, so the axle will clear. Without it, the axle will hit the pan and crush it.

 

What pan are you using on your 3.0? If that clears then it will clear when you install it on your 3.4l.

Not if you have a SFA it doesn't. If you have a SAS or a SFA, you need the T100 2WD oil pan.

The regular 3.0L pan is only for IFS applications.

 

So it won't clear even with the lift?

 

If you take the truck offroad, no.

 

If he built his SFA with bump stop clearance for the 3.0 pan then it will work on the 3.4l. So your current SFA 4runner has a 3.0 and it clears with the stock pan, take your 3.0 pan and put it on the 3.4l. With 7" springs it should have about 5" to the oil pan before contact.

Now if he is just building everything at once including the SFA then use the T100 pan. You gain an extra 2-3" of up travel with that pan. You can put your 4runner at a more trail worthy 4" height, 7" is kinda big.
