So I bought a 91 4runner w/ the 3.4 swap from a 2000 Tacoma already done to it. The reverse lights do not turn on and there are many many wires that dead end in a ball of electrical tape in the engine compartment (there are no emissions devices in the rig, possibly no A/C).

What I can see is that the rear backup/reverse lights are wired Red w/ black stripe and white w black stripe. these wires thread into the drivers side body and disappear.

The reverse light switch on the Manual Transmission has a Red w/ white stripe and a Brown w/ Black Stripe wires coming off of it, but they terminate under the chassis.

If anyone knows where I can pick up the wires from the reverse lights, and which I should wire the trans reverse switch to, (and where to pick up 12v?) I think this will fix my problem.

Specifics on locations, connectors, wire colors, (pictures would be most helpful)

IH2 pin 8 should be connected to the trans connector pin 4. Black Orange.
IH2 pin 7 should be connected to the trans connector pin 8. Red White.
