If you 3.4 swapped again...

So, I am getting ready to finally dive into this 3.4 swap. Got the motor today. Just your standard 3.4, and I have a 5spd tranny.

Was wondering for those who have done the swap already, if there is anything you'd do differently if you did it again?

What's easy to miss, or what improvements do you wish you had made during the process?

Did ORS save you time and frustration, or would you go it alone next time?

I have been reading and searching about this swap for sometime... just looking for little tips here and there that would be easy to miss.

Thanks.

DOHC v6 means 4 cams. Sorta silly to install 4 new cams in the 3.4L, unless you are putting a LOT of money into mods, including a supercharger. I do not know if anyone even makes the cams for this?!

Sea 2 sky tuning/ AKA Weasy2k / AKA Johnny sells cams for the 3.4L
I got to ride in his test truck, damn that thing was fast!

Take tons of pictures for future people wanting to do the swap.

i got the ors harness it was easy 4 wire hookup. dont buy the battery harness from them they want $150 for it i have about $25 into mine there aint anything to the harness. the oil pan if you want the right one sky has them for $200 comes with everything you need. for radiator hoses the stock 3.4 upper hose worked for the top i just had to trim a inch or so off it. i used a 22re bottom hose and trimed it a little you dont need all the special hoses they say you need.

I wished I had flushed out the heater core while I had the engine out of the truck. It would have been so easy then but I didn't even think about it.
