For 10 miles I would not think that would be an issue IF you can resist stepping on it to feel your new power plant.
Sayingp that, I would still get a tow from a buddy because i wouldn't risk F'ing up all my work only to pull the heads. Not worth the risk for me but I am usually fairly cautious when i spend months and mucho money doing something.
