3.4 swap sputtering!!! HELP!!!!

ok guys so ive just completed my swap and it idles great!!! and drives great until about a 1/4 throttle when it starts to sputter and die ive done some research and it sounds like A DIRTY MAF which ive now cleaned TWICE!!!! i also thought it may be a bad fuel pressure regulator because when i pinch the return lines it revs just fine!!! i have no idea what to do next, help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check the TPS

Unless you have a bad filter or a fuel blockage, it should rev even with a bad fuel pressure regulator.

The other question I would have is, did the 3.4 run well before the swap?

yes it did. i bought a rolled 4runner and as soon as i got it home and charged the bat. it fired right up and went through all rpm ranges just fine.... but that was 3 months ago.

also when i crimp the return line she runs awesome. i just through a vice grip on the line and drove it up and down the block and it ran perfectly. ( could light up my 32's in 4th gear ) lol

so could it still be a tps???

You have a 2001 engine, which IIRC uses a partial drive by wire system. That one is beyond my particular knowledge

Then what I say about the TPS is valid. 2000 uses a drive by cable system with a standard TPS
