3.4 swap power steering confusion, need help
Working on 3.4 swapping my 92 4runner, but confused about the power steering. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I should be using the pump off of the 3.4? The 3.4 pump has only two ports, a high pressure w banjo bolt and a port coming out of the reservoir. The 3.0 pump has those two the same with an extra port out the bottom that splits into two hoses. What do I need to do to make this work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The early rear wheel ABS uses PS hydraulic pressure to actuate the ABS servo.
That servo lies on the front of the passenger frame rail.and PS pressure hoses run through it.
The rear differential 3rd member should have a sensor in the top of it.
If you wish this system to remain operative, you'll have to keep the original hydraulic piping.

In the truck there looks to be only two hoses unless I'm missing something. Can I just hook up those two hoses to the 3.4 pump and call it good? Don't know where the extra hoses on 3.0 pump even went to. The previous owner disconnected it before I got it. Could they just be vacuum lines that aren't needed for the 3.4 steering pump?

This would be the abs servo correct? Still not sure where those extra hoses from the 3.0 pump would go. Looks like there are only the two lines that go into the servo and those ones i could connect to the 3.4 pump.

Your images is indeed of the rear wheel ABS servo.
Some PS pumps are fitted with a unit with two small (quarter inch, or so) vacuum lines that run to a setup on the intake plenum that increases idle speed when the PS box is cramped, so that the engine might not stall.
That unit is what your last image shows.

So if I can connect those hoses somewhere on the intake plenum it should work properly? Only problem is that I can't just swap out the hose that originally was on the 3.4 pump cause it is much to long and gas a hardline in the middle, and the 3.0 pump can't be used because the pulleys can't be swapped due to the shafts being different (splined vs keyed). Would my best bet to try cutting and splicing the 3.4 high pressure hose to fit?

Use the 3.4 pump. the 3.0 lines will work if you use the 3.0 bolt too, its a little shorter.
You can ditch the vac lines, the 3.4 does need them thats why it doesnt come with them. It controls its own idle.
