Need some help finished swapping my engine it's a 99 3.4 into a 90 3.0 also swapped my auto out for a manual trans, got my wire harness from ORS, so at first my 4Runner would just crank wouldnt get anything else ORS told me the auto ECU I got with my harness would run the engine fine but I would just get a engine light because of the missing auto trans but I suspected that ECU was just bad alltogether so I got a computer from the wreckers since I needed a manual one any way I plugged it in and now she will crank and then fire and right after it just dies every time I got a code p1300 which is ignition circuit malfunction, so I swapped out my igniter with one on my bros truck, nothing a have all new coil packs I got off eBay, thought those my be dodgy so I swapped them with my brothers also, still nothing I have all new plugs and wires as well, I've checked all my grounds look good my fuses are good I swapped out my efi, circuit opening relay and fuel pump relay, still the same I took apart my intake and checked all the wiring no visible defects, the wires going down to my ECU had a few wires that the insulation was scrapped off so taped them all up, thought that might be it but still nothing, read that something was switching off the injectors, I would be surprised if it didn't have to do with my swap and was just something on the 4Runner but i dont know, could it be old gas? It's been sitting about a year or my fuel filter? I'm stumped, also I don't have my o2 sensors or exhaust hooked up could that have anything to do with it?
Thanks for any help I've already learned a lot on this swap just want to get it running already!

This isn't the appropriate place to ask for help. Create a new thread topic in this sub rather than replying to this thread

All the info is in this forum. You need to search for it. Long story short- you need to get EWD for both vehicles, label all the wire functions, and then just match them up. Getting a full set of EWDs for both vehicles is not even an option. Then you must learn to read and EWD. Then you'll be able to tackle this yourself.

Is there any way of getting the pin out for a 99 4runner ecu 3d580? Ive searched and havnt found anything other than the fact that ecu is garbage and burn it. Haha

I'll just quote myself from a couple minutes ago because I don't think you read it ;-)

3.4

I love this attachment you made on the 3.4 swap. I’m currently doing a 95 4 runner 3.4 swap. Engine donor is a 02 4 runner sr5 4x4 at. If possible I would really appreciate some help and answers to the wire harness complications I have because I’m new to this. I’d be great to have your help. My name is Kohana

About to pick up a 5vz (ecm for 4x4 auto) and RF150 this weekend and this is the best thread I have found on this subject. I was having trouble finding another ecm for a m/t and the companies that program them want a specific vin which I dont have. Thanks for all the hard work in transcribing your swap. It has saved me tremendously.
BTW, I have a 1995 4Runner body and 97 5VZ and ecu. Hoping everything goes the same as your schematics

98 4runner EWD issues

Wish the videos still worked. Especially the one on using adobe to get thru the ewd's . This description works for me others I seem to get confused and the ewd's are driving me crazy. I have a 98 4runner ecm MT and engine harness which I am trying to transplant into a 1995 4runner. I think I have about 80% of the wiring from the ewd's figured out but there are some I just don't understand what is going on. EWD's refer to the same connector/pin for more than one thing?

Anyone done this specific swap? ECM is 89661-3D360 if so any help you could provide would be appreciated

1995 3.4 swap 99 donor A/t

Just installed a 99 3.4 2wd engine into a 1995 4Runner. Both are A/T . Where can I get engine ecu pin outs?

https://techinfo.toyota.com

Or you can try your luck in the wayback machine on the old ttora pages before they got the takedown order, if you can find them. Don't have that link handy but it's out there, or used to be. I just paid TIS for a day and downloaded what I needed
