3.4 motor swap

I just bought a 97 4 Runner 4WD for $100, The timing belt wasn't changed for 300 k miles and the left cam pulley broke. I also just purchased a 2WD 97 4runner with a good motor. Both motors are 3.4s, what parts would I have to take from the 4WD motor and install onto the 2WD drive motor to make the new motor work in the 4WD truck. Thanks in advance.

Mechanically, the engines are identical. Some sensors might be need to be swapped (oil pressure, engine temp, etc) based on whether or not the donor and recipient have the same gauge cluster. I believe the clutch and flywheel for the 4wd are more heavy duty as well, but I'm not putting my signature on that... Otherwise, bolt up the engine and enjoy your ride!

The 2 cars are identical except for the 4wd of course, I read on another forum that the oil pans are different between the motors. I'll probably just put the 2 engines beside each other and check for any difference.

Yes the oil pan on the 4x4 is contoured to clear the front differential. You may also need to swap the oil pickup tube, not sure if they're different due to the different pan. I had to put my 3.0 oil pickup and pan on my 3.4 when I did my swap.
