Also a couple questions here. Should I bother with headers for this motor and this swap. Is it worth the money vs power. And if I so get them... Any problems that will come up or eliminate during the swaps? Thanks guys.

I got the 3.4 all torn apart. Goin to machine shop Monday and oredered stage 2 clutch and rebuild kit for it. Need an ecu and harness from a manual. This wiring is scary looking. Even the old stuff. Might be over my head. We wire up our race cars but thats a lot simpler. Guess no on headers even tho got no reply. Also suggestions on intake set up? And I can't use the 3.0 starter with 3.4 clutch flywheel correct? Also the crank positioning sensor and camshaft sensor, should I replace those just for gp so they don't go out anytime soon? Please someone thanks

Yes pretty excited. Get all parts back from the machine shop tomorrow, well today. Then put the whole engine together and drop in by Friday. Then I'll start finding specific problems and things I need help with. I got a valve job and cams adjusted, heads and block decked, and just honed for the new pistons.going to be pretty nice. Can I just run custom dual exhaust? Cut the flanges off the crossover and weld pipe to then, route pipe down both sides? Thanks all.

If my timeline is right and I have this thing running and driving by first of september, it goes in for paint mid sept before winter hits! already did the straight axle swap, hopefully I don't run into any huge problems with this, I'll find out soon.

Really need a couple quick answers here. I have a 2000 4runner engine, used to be auto. Going into my 1991 manual. Can i use any year harness and ecu, or only 2000? and i can get an auto harness for $120 and ecu for $120 but its also an auto. Can i make these work with my application. Thanks.

I'm sure you can still use the auto harness but you'll have to re-pin them.
I re-pin my 96 auto harness to work with the manual ECU.

I have a few more questions. 1. Can I use my 3.0 power steering stuff?
2. Also can I use the 3.0 alternator? Would be best because I replaced it with the higher amp one awhile back. Last is I need to flip my fuel line on the 3.4? Where all the injectors mount? Thanks. Should be my last ones until a bit of wiring. My engine is in. Just bolt it down. Start on battery and airbox relocation, and figure these things out.

I used the stuff from 3.4 except the AC compressor.
Most folks flip the fuel lines "before" installing the engine. Anything can be done, I guess...

at the end of the fuel rail. There's the one line from the tank, one return back to the tank.

Do a search on this forum on fuel line..

Ok thanks. Also why can't I use the crossover pipe from 3.4 and just have it drop down the passenger side?

Yes I have, tight. I just don't have a crossover pipe from the 3.4, was looking into headers for it but don't want to spend all the money on them then have to modify a bunch. So I'll have to look for a stock crossover from 3.4 and switch it. Just having the 3.4 exhaust manifolds is there anything I can do from the flanges down without that cross pipe? Like duals and make my own flanges that connect to the exhaust manifolds?

Pretty much the last thing to solve and 3.4 is dropped in. I did a COMPLETE rebuild on it. Engine and full rebuild with valve job, decking the block and heads and bore, new pistons, just everything. Just the exhaust left! Need some options!? Thank you guys
