Both ones that I have used in my motor (3.0 and now 3.4 T100) went on without hitting anything.

In regard to the PS lines and the ABS stuff, my vote is to junk all the abs crap and the Trail Gear Tacoma PS lines are perfect for straight from pump to box and return.
