I was wondering if anyone has swapped the two. My 3.4 doesn't even have a cooler its capped off. It seems, at least in my case that there is more room for changing out the oil filter if it was mounted in the cooler location. I've searched alittle and couldn't find anyone who has done it. Think I would have any issues swapping?

 

Well everything switched over no problems. Much easier install/removal now.

 

That's good to hear, I have seen at least a picture of the filter on the rear mount on the 5VZ block and the block-off plate in front where the filter would normally go, but I can't remember where I saw it and didn't want to pass along any mis-information.
