2002 2.7L swap to 2002 3.4L

Hey guys im new to the forum and was recommended for any questions i may have in the process of the swap.
So i have a 2002 2wd 2.7L 4cyl. Im swapping a 3.4L with tranny that came off a tundra. I have everything from radiator to hoses, i bought a complete pair of trd headers. I bought a computer and harness off a crashed 02 tacoma trd, although it is a harness for a 4wd. But im assuming if i ditch the 4wd connections i will be ok? Not sure. The computer harness and fuse box are all from one vehicle.
I think im pretty set on what i need.
If you guys have any pointers please feel free to comment or contact me.
I was told the oil pressure gauge might be different?
Not sure.
Thanks guys

The tranny i have is a 2wd. I have the harness as well for that but again its a 2wd and the guy i bought the tranny off of snipped the harness on the tranny before it continued to the engine harness so i have half of the harness there. And i have the other harness i bought thats off the 4wd tacoma. Not sure if the 4wd will work?
As far as the motor i have the ac compressor, an extra power steering pump and o2 sensors.
Im assuming everything will bolt up into place, tranny and motor. I might plate my motor mounts since i do a lot of prerunning in the desert.
Again thanks

What a monumental project.

Why not sell it and buy a 3.4 runner?

Thats a ton of work with little payoff.

Its not worth it, i have well over 15k into suspension and cage work. I put up my truck for sale for 10k and the highest offer i got was 7k
I was losing almost 9k that i put in it. And from what i have hear the swap isnt too bad since everything bolts up?

I'm just assuming her, but probably because he wants to keep the 2wd truck. I've been nudging my little brother for years to do a 3.4 swap in his 94 2wd. I think it'd make a cool little street truck.

OP, as far as the harness goes, your probably going to have to find a 2wd 3.4 harness. That, or maybe you could call up toyonlyswaps.com and get some help from them. Other than that, it should be about the same as any other 4 cylinder to 3.4 swap. You'll be looking at new motor mounts, and a new driveshaft for that transmission your swapping in, if the distance or spline count isn't the Same.

A little background on the truck would help a lot. Was this truck originally a prerunner Tacoma? Or an actual, 5 lug 2wd? Since your saying its a 2.7, I'm guessing it was a prerunner, and your doing the swap with an automatic. If that's the case, you need to find a harness for a 2002 3.4 prerunner truck.

Red face

When trying to sell any vehicle your lucky if you get the cost of any upgraded parts you install.

then trying to insure the vehicle for more money good luck.
