Ok. Yesterday went up to Denver this guy was parting out 2 4Runners. So I started stripping out some of the parts that I needed. Ended up getting my E5 and E6 Connectors, OBD2, Ignition control module, EVAP system, mass air flow meter, and some other sensors that I needed. So that worked out really well. So, soon as I figure out the E5 and E6 pin out from there colored wires I will start splicing the harness.

Still working out which connector is which and the corresponding wire pin out. Edit this when I have it figured out. And I will try to take some pics.

So I started soldering the wires together. I'm about half way done. Still have to figure out the rest of the wires once that is done they will soldered and good to go. I have pics. Just haven't uploaded them yet.

Okay, so it's been awhile since I have updated this. My computer at home took a crash (power supply) So I can't upload pics, but I am working on a huge diagram/ pin out sheet because I found that 20 random sheets of paper all over the places cause for mistakes. Which I have found that I have made. So working on that. Right now I'm broke so waiting on some money to finish this up. And sourcing out some sensors and stuff that I still need from a donor vehicle. So I did my Tach mod. Went to radiao shack and got 5 of those 10k resistors for a buck or so, then soldered it in between those 2 leads seen below. I think I got the cheater pic off of Evoltas thread.

Sorry about this last pic not being as clear as it should, I have shaky hands at times.

So I was wondering who here has done all there own wiring. I am looking to double check my pin out diagram before I solder all these wires up. I just don't want to fry the computer or cause damage to anything due to me being wrong. Feel free to pm me. Thanks guys

Well shopping around for a good used radiator was just wasting my time. So I ordered a few parts today. Should all be in on Friday. My KN&N high flow air filter kit, radiator and hood scoop. All from summit. Got the wiring almost done minus the fact I have 2 wires that don't go to anything and it looks as if they go to the speedometer (kinda important)

Got the radiator and K&N intake kit on, have about 15 wire going to nothing on my diagram and 2 pairs that have 2 going to them so going to figure that out and then solder up the rest. This would be going a lot faster if I stopped playing Call of Duty and working on all my other projects. Oh well. The engine overview pic. You can see the stock top radiator hose won't work, going to have to get new hoses.

Routed the power from the battery to the fuse box. Here is it the the fuse.

Then here it is all cleaned up, bolted back down. Had to take a knife and make the exit hose a little bigger for the wire to escape from the factory spot. Other then that I put on the radiator hoses.

Hey thanks. Update for this weekend, bought a 84 straight axle and t-case for $250 for the other 4Runner. Painted up the front grill after I plastic welded the cracks. Took an old soldering iron and melted them together. Then took chrome paint and some black and got it nice looking. Had a big halloween party last night so did not do anything really big. Tomorrow I may turn key and see what happens. And I ordered warn manual hubs, cause I didn't grab the tacos ADD parts. Makes wiring easier. Post pics when I can.

Okay. i plugged in the ECM today and turned the key and... Nothing. So using the meter checked and found that I had no power to the ECM. Had it up to the fuse box. Also found that I forgot to remove the old power cable so that sparked a little off the fender wall. So what did you guys do for power? Route it from the EFI fuse?

You guys thinking that 18 guage should work for me to route the wire from the EFI fuse to the ECM?
Oh and I left the old power cable in to the fuse box. I should remove that right? Its not needed anymore. (I think)

What did you do for your evap vapor pressure sensor and pressure switching valve. im doing a 2002 into a 91 although my situtation is a little different since I am turning my auto harness into a manual harness. but at least on my donor these sensors are located on the bottom backish part of the vehicle near the gas tank. also did you have a two o2 sensors?? i see that on mine its wired off ik2 n runs through the body harness n jumps back out at the 2nd o2 or near it.

I need to go pull some O2 sensors. As for vapor pressure sensors using the ones for the EVAP canister and not worrying about the ones back at the tank.

when i did mine i didnt route any wires from the fuse... because you have the leads all right there at the body harness. The only wires i had to tap into for power were for the obd2 port and that was off of the 7.5 amp ignition fuse. Also you may want to create a heat shield for your air filter. How did you wire your starter?

Hey thanks guys. If I route the power to the old power line then that would work. Didn't think of that till now. Or at least it should work that way as well. Just got the manual hub conversion in today so I will likely be doing that this weekend. As for the heat shield, I have one that came with the kit I just have not put it on yet.

Fabbed up the EVAP bracket. Made from old bed rail someone threw out.

Welded the bolts on the back.

Painted and installed.

Did you guys route power from EFI from the fuse box to the constant power on the ECU? Or did you guys plug power into the fuse box and use the old lines? Going to work on that Friday or Saturday, and wanted to get it all sorted out.

Yeah I have been playing that one already. But between PS3 and football I'm finding it hard to stay focused. And then its supposed to snow (so it's gonna be so cold in the garage) But I need to get this going. Working on it once or twice a month isn't gonna get it done.
