I don't know. I never thought to ask. I assume they can. If not I can take in my old exhaust plus I have the bung from the 3.4 so they can use those. Nice job on those bungs.

Anyone else find the word "bung" funny? lol!

Will a 1997 3.4 Auto. 2wd bolt up up to my tranny in a 4runner 4wd that had a 3.0 V6 5 speed. Will the bellhousing match up or not?

I don't know. I think so. You might get a better response if you start your own thread.

No not yet I'm afraid. My father in law passed away unexpectedly so I have been busy dealing with that. Haven't had time or money to deal with the truck in a couple weeks.

Well exhaust is done. Drives great. Nice to have some pulling power on the hills. Speedo doesn't work though. I'll need to figure that out. ORS harness was supposed to be plug and play. Guess not.

The ORS harness had a lead for the reverse light switch and the tcase switch but not the speedo sender. So I just hooked up the connector from the 3.4 harness to my speedo sender. I assumed this was all that was needed.

I hadn't read anything about needing to modify the speedo or anything. Best I can figure is that there is a connection missing between my 3.4 harness and my body harness. Sound reasonable? I've already checked the obvious like the connectors etc.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

I guess you have an electric VSS, is it the same one you had before the swap?

Yes, an electric sender and it's the same one as before. Everything worked fine before. I'll have to check the connections at the ECU I guess. Time to dive into some diagrams, ugh! Exactly what I wanted to avoid by buying the kit.

I have to say Mike at ORS is a stand up guy and the customer service is second to none but to date I can't say I'm overly impressed with the quality of the kit. For the money I spent on it I have had a LOT of problems with it.

I hope if he opens up shop again that they do a lot more quality control.

Well I just finished chasing wires and it appears that ORS decided not to add any for my speedometer.

So now I get to rebuild a harness I paid big money for.

I'm no wiring guru so any help would be appreciated.

Here's what I've got so far:

I have green/brown - blue - pink wires going from my sender to the cab. I found the connector that they terminate at in the cab. It's the big one with the locking tab that folds over it.

I checked the ORS connector that mates to it and there are no male ends that correspond. So I guess I need to add them now.

Anyone know the P/N's for the pins that go into that connector.

I also need to know where they go to on the ECU (I'm assuming they go to the ECU). I have some diagrams but so far they aren't helping me.

Anyone have a pin diagram for a 2000 Taco 5sp ECU.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Well they seem to have put no provision in the harness for my speedo.

So far I've been able to determine that they have a wire going from E5 pin 12 on the ECU to IH1 pin 20. I assume this sends the signal to the combi meter.

Problem is I have 3 wires (G-R/L/P) going from the VSS to IK2 and they don't connect to anything from there. ORS doesn't have any pins in they're part of the harness for them.

Would anyone happen to know what I need to connect the 3 wires from the VSS to. I would like to use the factory pins if I can get the PN's.

Thanks again for any help.

Axel

OK got it working thanks to some help from TMZ. Big thumbs up for TMZ. Big thumbs down for ORS. At this point I'm wishing I had spent my money on a supercharger instead of the ORS kit. Big waste of money! NIce guy but I'm not surprised they went out of business. Hope they do a better job next time around. If there is a next.

I'll be recommending TMZ's services to anyone looking for a harness.

A few pics of the exhaust setup. I ended up going with mandrel bent 2 1/8 aluminized tubing, flex joint in front of the cat and below the crossover to bellhousing brace. Magnaflow hi-flow cat and a fully welded Dynomax super turbo muffler. All joints are welded. No clamps anywhere.

I cut the O2 sensor bungs off the old exhaust and cleaned them up. I wasn't sure if the shop had the stock style bungs. Sure enough they ended up using the ones I gave them. I'm Pretty happy with the exhaust so far.

Here are a couple shots of My really UGLY hood scoop setup. I really don't like this but it was all that I could find locally on short notice.

I needed to find something to cover the hole because it rains here a LOT.

This setup won't be lasting. I'm going to keep my eyes open for another hood and then basically revamp the whole thing. Here are a couple shots for your viewing displeasure. I think I almost like my modified dog dish better. LOL!

So only issues left are:

My code reader decided to stop recognizing my ECU. It worked fine two days ago?

and I have a PO500 and PO141

I think these may be remnants of when my speedo wasn't working and my rear O2 sensor wasn't hooked up but I thought I had cleared them before I fixed those issues.

If I get my code reader to work again I'll clear them once more and see what happens. Does anyone know if pulling the EFI fuses for a few hours will reset my ECU? Maybe if I cut power to the ECU for a while and hook it back up my code reader might work again?

I suspect that one of my O2 sensors is incorrect anyway. I only got one with the donor and I was having trouble finding the PN for the rear. Everyone here wanted a VIN# to look up the 02 sensor. I didn't get a VIN# with my donor.

Anyone know the PN's for the O2 sensors on a 2000 Toyota TACOMA?
