Tire Pressures
Ive been reading thru the forums and ive seen alot of posts about tire pressures, the only thing is, i havent seen any that really answer my question. is there any place i can get info on what the optimum tire pressure should be on my 03 taco d.c. prerunner with bf goodrich rugged trail t/a p265/70r16 tires?i have 2 stickers on the inside of the door that give 2 different pressure specs?!?! what pressure should i run?? what the tire max psi is or pick and choose between the 2 stickers?? one sticker says 26 psi for front and back, other says 26 for front and 29 for back. or do i go off of max psi on tire?? any help is appreciated guys....btw....love this forum!!!

you could call bfg.........
Or even just call a local tire place like discount tire. They should be able to tell you by the tire you have, size of it, and the average weight of your truck.
btw I have bfg a/t's and I'm running 35 psi.
edit: but I'm a 4runner so I weigh more

I don't mean to hijack your post Mav, but I have had a similar question myself.
My 96 Taco had 215-75-14's stock. I went to 31-9.5-15 and have not been sure what psi to run. They are Futura Dakota's and I would not reccomend them, weird tire wear and it's not alignment, or shocks. Anyway the sticker on the inside door says I should run 27 front and 29 rear. Checked with a local tire shop and they said not to run under 35 psi. I currently run 38 front and 41 rear. Tire sidewall gives no min, just max load capacity at 50psi cold.
Do I go with toyota's sticker or the "tire guy's advice"?

Hello, I'll be thread Hijacker number 2. 98 4Runner, stock tire was 265/70R16 Airpresure on vehicle says 29 PSI (if I remember correctly. Now I'm running 285/75R16, and the max tire presure is 65PSI. Sooooo Should I run 29, like it says on the 4Runner on that thing on the driver side, or should I run it higher, not exceeding 65PSI cold?
To answer the first guy, if you are running the size tires that came original with the vehicle, then use the vehicle recommend tire presure (in your manual, or on the driver side, where your door latches to the frame, there's a metal plate with your Vin number, and the tire presure.

recently.....
I bumped up to 40 psi from 35. It seems to have made a SMALL bump in my mpg (talking like .035!) and now my wife is complaining about the ride being a bit harsh.
Looks like 35 or less would be better for me.
btw, this is on Goodyear MT/S's

Yeah
It was like a friggin stock lowrider. It didn't hit me till my buddy and his girlfriend got in one day and all she was talking about was being in the lowrider. It was the next day that I decided "the golden taco" was to become "THE GOLDEN TACO"still under construction:pat:
