I've always used - and been happy with Permatex brand. It's silver looking and comes in a tube or in a brush on style container.

You can but you need to be very careful not to get any on or near the electrode (just the threads).

I personally use permatex because it is what I grabbed first, I have no problems with it. I don't really think it matters, go to your nearest autoparts store and get whatever they have.

bostik never-seez or permatex. its all the same stuff. really really fine graphite i think. its so fine it looks like a goop...but its actually still solid. get it at home depot or any auto parts store.

I always use it on my spark plug threads and I have never had a problem. It makes it a LOT easier to remove the plugs every 30K miles on the 3slow (except for the last cylinder on the right side)!

i always use antisieze on my spark plugs...never had any problems. just make sure you don't get any on the electrodes.

i think there are some antisieze compounds out there that do not conduct electricity, though...make sure you get one that does if you are going to use it on your spark plugs (or any other connection that must conduct electricity) since the plug is grounded via the threads.

don't remember the name brand of the stuff i have at the moment...it's got copper in it...picked it up at some autoparts store...works fine.
