Power Windows

I have just bought a 93 Camry Wagon and love it...but from the second day...the driver side power window was sticky and today it popped out of the track...what is the best way to fix this?

Of course it did not come with a manual, so if someone knows all the screws needing to come out to get the panel open...that would be great!

Thank you for the new Chick!

help

I know that this forum is primarily for truck/suv owners, but I am in a real jam. See, I want to do this so my husband doesn't have too....

truthfully, I need to know so my husband doesn't get pissed and kick the door in...

any hints would be appreciated.

Thank you

Sounds like the regulator went out on you. It's not that hard to fix, but I would want to have a FSM to do it.

Yes there are. Ebay has them. Only problem is that the quality can be really bad. You have to pick and choose wisely. They usually run about $20 or so with shipping.

I would strongly recommend you price around. Car windshield places may do this for a decent deal (or be able to recommend someone). Believe it or not, you may find a dealer that is reasonable (but that's not likely).

yikes

well we took the door panel off and found that the cable had slipped off the window and after taking the regulator apart and testing the motor (which seems to be fine) then putting the window back in .... we found during testing, that the driver side switch goes down but the relay to raise the window is out. So we are pricing the switch box today, through the parts house and the "u-pull-it".
Wish me luck!
Thanks for the tips.
