Well I changed out the cable ends and alot of my accessorie ends. Things are fresh and cleaner, with a new optima reading 12.8 volts.......

Still nothing. I tried reversing the polarity of the test leads, I tried it with the door closed, door open. Ughhhh. Still says...0.00 mv and occasionaly it will jump to 0.01 mv

I don't get it. I have yet to try the test circuit, 4crawler, but I will still attempt that to gauge my meter.

Is the meter on a mV or mA range? With it on a voltage range, you won't see any voltage unless you go across the battery to ground. On the mA range, you should see some current, but maybe the autoranging thing is getting in the way. Often that stuff just gets in the way, like auto exposure and focus on a camera.

I'll try my other meter. It's not autoranging, but it is archaic.

I was on mA ....and I did get a good reading in mV mode across the terminals.
