Hole in my carpet!

I have a hole in my carpet right behind the gas pedal, where the heel of your foot would rest on the floor. It's actually where the carpet/floor starts to incline toward the radio. Does anyone have any ideas on a way to patch this?

Check the yellow pages for auto interiors. I know when my mom bought a GMC Jimmy a while back, it had a floor mat, when she looked under it there was a HUGE hole. The deal contracted somebody to goto her work and they simply ironed on a plastic/rubber protector thingy. The rubber will help that from happening again.

paul,

if you pull the carpet off, you'll notice that its held onto the floorboard by some really tough hook-n-loop (velcro). if you really want to go low budget, you could just cut the worn section out and put a patch of carpet in there. that is assuming looks don't matter.

just take a look yourself and determine if you want to go that route.
