Question Deckplate Mod

http://www.top4runners.com/ja/perf.html#deckplate

I just visited this website (as per Philly) and read the info on the Deckplate mod. Since the air intake is moved to the front of the air box, is there any concern for water getting into it during regular driving (large puddles, etc.)? And if so, would an Amsoil air filter handle the water - based on the idea that oil and water don't mix?

I have not had any water concerns since doing the mod. Only time to cap it up is when going off road.

I've gone blasting on the beach, in the surf, with deckplate wide open and not had any problems. Water was swamping over the roof from the waves hitting the truck. It was not that deep, it was just from the force of me slamming into the water at about 35 MPH as it ran up the sand. It was fun!
