cone washers on 88 yota truck
ok, I've got an 88 yota short bed 4x4, no lift, 33x12.50's, and the rotors are shot. I've attempted to change them, but can't get the cone washers off. I need the cone washers off in order to remove the hub. Any help with this will be much appreciated.

In all of the info on the attached link I noticed an important detail missing. Make sure you use a brass hammer or brass drift for pounding on the studs or hub body. This prevents maring the hub body or worse, mushrooming the ends of the studs.
Best way to do it is to keep the nuts on but loose so as to keep the cone washers from flying. Take a brass hammer or hammer and brass drift (this is what I use) and pound on the end of the stud. This will pop them right off. More than likely you won't even need any pb blaster.

dang, Hendrix billed me Thursday for the hub puller, so I'm assuming they shipped it then too. Still isn't here and it's Tuesday night, hope it hurries. Can I order cone washers from toyota online?

ok, the toyota parts websites don't list cone washers, even tried searches on all of them. The one sight that said I could order them wants a part number!@#$%&*^ Gonna have to drive my lazy ass half an hour away to pick up 12 little cone washers. Any ideas on price per washer? I'm not a cheapo, I swear.

supposedly you don't have to battle the cone washers when you use the hub puller. http://www.hendrixmotorsports.com it's under Formula Toy all the way at the bottom of the page on the left, shiny metal thing.

Cone washers are the DEVIL!
BFG (5lb sledge) and some brass drifts.... or a brass dead-blow hammer... and you're golden!
