Cleaning 4th gen tip

Cleaning 4th gen tip
---Don't wipe the dashboard instrument pods with a cloth and dash cleaner. You will scratch up the clear plastic.
I lightly scratched mine but it was easily buffed out (my g/f works with plastics and has special sprays and such).
I would suggest a 100% cotton & water or eyeglass cleaning paper for those 3 pods.
---Don't forget to open the rear doors and rinse along the bottom rubber, mud tends to get trapped there.
---mud also gets trapped in the wheelwells at the rear and under the rear bumper- get the hose and flush it out until it runs clear. (learned to do this on my old Nissan)
---Pledge works great for the inside of the windows. Don't use windex on tint.
---Try sheeting the water with an open garden hose for final rinse. Corey suggested it and I was skeptical but damn if it doesn't work! Takes off alot of water and makes drying a heck of alot faster.
Also, did you guys notice the windows are hydrophillic? I also found out the glass is 94% UV resistant, pretty cool.
Hope that helps!

windex is ok as long as you get the stuff without amonia in it. amonia is the stuff that will ruin tint.

I just got the Griot's color print version of the Detailers Handbook today. Nice spiral book style, indexed and packed with info and tips.
Well worth 12 bucks.
