Anyone ever replace a 3rd gen blower motor?

Mine's squeeking. In 65K miles no less. Someone want to tell me how sucky this job is so I can decide how long to put up with the noise before I tackle it?

Bringing back an old question. That's a good writeup Bob did by he way.

I figured the noise out today and it's almost comical. It's not the front heater blower motor, it's the rear. That explains why it would come and go without any reason and wasn't related to the front fan speed. People messing with the rear heater switch.

So for the new question - How sucky is pulling the rear blower motor and cleaning it? Has anyone done this yet? From the diagrams in my crappy Chilton manual it looks like I have to remove most of the console. I hate doing that since it seems like it's impossible to get them back together without the plastic squeaking for the rest of the time I own the truck...
