22R cold engine valve clearance

22R cold engine valve clearance
does anyone know the valve clearance settings for a cold 22R engine? I am putting mine back together and want to get it right without having to warm it up and then do it again. Any ideas?
I know that doing it hot is the correct way, I just want it to start and run properly while it warms up. If .008/.010 is correct for a warm engine would .006/.008 be good to start with on a cold engine?
Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, it's .012 not .010. I've checked the clearances both hot and cold and the clearances remained the same.

Thanks for the info. I just set them at .008/.012, bolted it up and started it up. Ran/runs fine. I did have a problem with the EGR, so I just turned off its vacuum at the carb and that fixed that. Thanks again

That's in inches. According to the factory manual the clearances should be .008/.012 but mine are set at .007/.011 since the engine runs quieter at those settings.

According to the FSM it is .008 and .012 but that is with the engine warm, .007 and .011 would be the cold setting's. However you can set it at .007 and .011 hot without any negitave effects, as Arnold mentioned it seems to quite it down a little.
